Since 1998 the Trussville Fire Department has been committed to helping the Muscular Dystrophy Association raise money for children with all types of Muscular Dystrophy. Since that time we have raised over $30,000 for MDA. This money is raised through Fill the Boot Drives, Golf tournaments, donations made at the Fire Stations and from grants received from local businesses. While it is true that the Firefighters put in the time to collect, but the donations come from people in the community.
